There is no reason for this argument... the real basis of religion is not the creation of the world or the start of life, and evolution tells how things have changed yes... but not exactly where they came from, Religion is a thought basis for hope and so is the theory of evolution in a way... if you really must know we came from what we are! :)

I hate to say this, but all evolution does is prove that someone had an idea. They weren't there, they do not know, they are all just speculating. If you want to believe in randomness, how can you explain planets that form almost perfect spheres, or the human form having almost identical left and right sides? Randomness does not do that.
