jesus christ this is stupid to argue:rnrnlight pollution means you cant see the stars (basically) because of all the residual light from the city. Yet you can in the woods or other remote locale.rnrnLight doesn't literally pollute, assholes.rnrnI cant believe people are arguing that this is fake/light cant pollute...rnrnare all of you that stupid?
Guest said (05.22.2008 @ 06:28am):
dumbass anything man made can pollute :dunce:

"Light cannot pollute you stupid motherfu****."rnAnd I used to think I was a RETARD.rnTell me, Did someone answer the the submit question for you.:thumbsup:rn

It looks a fake thankfully.rnrnHowever the growth of nisance and environmentally damaging artificial light is a REAL problem.rnrnOnly morons can possibly say that this intrusion into the natural dark of night is not pollution. Lighting is one of the worst forms of pollution in itself, and of course the production of it pollutes too. The sad thing about light pollution is most could and should be avoidable :-(

Pollution is the introduction of pollutants (whether chemical substances, or energy such as noise, heat, or light) into the environment to such a point that its effects become harmful to human health, other living organisms, or the environment. (babylon.com)rnNow before criticising this go and learn about it.

Maybe being pedantic light does not pollute but it destroys circadian rhythms in life. In short the 24 hour day is killing off Life On Earth. LP sucks insects from their habitat areas like a vacuum cleaner. No bugs for other creature to feed on then they starve. Just join up the dots and please do not be abusive. Kill yourself but don't kill others:confused:

wow! i never heard of light pollution before!
Guest said (02.05.2008 @ 08:47pm):
If you would like to become educated about light "pollution" a good place to start would be to read the Wikipedia entry on this topic. The so called pollution that occurs has nothing to do with heat produced from inefficient bulbs because the heat is dissipated rapidly within a few feet from each source.

Light's aren't ruining the environment, you idiots. And they certainly aren't heating up the earth. Global warming is a scam that everybody is falling for. All that's happening is that the earth is still recovering from the last ice age and it's returning to a normal state, we have nothing to do with it and this is photoshopped.

The night sky should look pitch black, but as we’ve developed a 24 hour society, we’ve been destroying the natural order of things.rnrnWe’re polluting the night sky, and it's affecting our ability to see even the brightest stars in the universe.rnrnIf the street lights were doing their job efficiently, they’d only shine down on the roads. The fact that you can see them directly from the air means that light is escaping in all directions.rnrnAt best it’s a waste of energy, at worst it’s ruining people’s lives. In the longer term light pollution is killing our environment, and the north's cities are some of the worst affected.

light doesn't pollute, and that's prolly photoshopped
Guest said (02.01.2008 @ 11:59am):
yes it does you ignorant , learn first then talk and curse others
Guest said (02.01.2008 @ 04:58am):
light can pollute you dick cus 90% of energy from a light bulb is heat - heating up the earth. and the earth would be in near darkness at night without manmade light so we are 'polluting' the natural state of the world. dick.
Guest said (02.01.2008 @ 03:06am):
Light can pollute u twat, as can noise
Guest said (01.31.2008 @ 09:06am):
Cool looking pictures, but it looks like it was taken with an excessively long shutter speed to make it look like there is more light being produced than there actually is. I'm calling B.S.
