These are not tinted, hand-coloured, or digitised photos. They are genuine colour photos, made using a process called autochrome. They were taken by photographers working for a french businessman called Albert Kahn. If you google him you'll find plenty more and an explanation of the process.

Most of these photos show at least some signs of hand tinting/coloring which did exist at the time.
