Some of these are DEFINITELY Japan. The one inside with a cigarette vending machine says "tobaco" in hiragana on the side. Also, there are some katakana characters in white graffiti on one of the buildings.

Some ot these places in the pictures look kind of familiar... has anyone seen the first Battle Royale? I think this was the island it was filmed on but I'm not sure...
